Emma’s Colorful Year at KCA
Among the lovely tributes created in the memory of Emma is a booklet compiled by her first employer, the architecture firm Karakusevic Carson Architects (KCA). KCA allowed us to share the booklet filled with photos, showing Emma with her engaging smile and colorful clothing. I remember talking to Emma about joining the architecture firm, saying, “I guess now you’ll have to start wearing edgy black and white clothing.” I was met with a frown. Even though young when she started, right out of university at 21 years old in June 2021, she had principles and a palette. She was going to upend the codes and upset the order.
